We're looking for experienced hands who know the work. If you've got time on a rig, on a pole, or behind a locator — we want to talk.
Every role is based out of Lafayette, Indiana. We're looking for experienced operators who take pride in their craft.
Run the crew and own the jobsite. You'll plan the day's bore, assign the crew, coordinate with general contractors, utility inspectors, and locates, keep production moving, and make the call when conditions change. You're the first one on site and the last one to sign off — safety, quality, and schedule are yours. This role is for someone who's led utility construction crews before and can step onto the rig or into the pit when the job needs it.
Operate our Ditch Witch JT20 directional drill on residential and commercial HDD projects. You'll be responsible for bore path execution, rod handling, mud management, and working with the locator to stay on grade. This is a hands-on role for someone who's done it before.
Perform underground utility locating using electromagnetic and GPR equipment. You'll mark bore paths, identify existing utilities, and work directly with the drill operator to keep every bore on line. Accuracy matters — we need someone who's done this work and takes it seriously.
Boots-on-the-ground support for every HDD job. You'll be digging entry and exit pits, potholing to expose existing utilities with the Ditch Witch HX50 vacuum excavator, hand-digging in tight spots, mixing and managing drilling mud, hauling rod, prepping sites, and keeping the jobsite clean and safe. No two days are the same — one morning you're soft-digging around a gas main, the next you're cutting in a pit for a 400-ft bore. We prefer utility construction experience but will absolutely consider hard workers with the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
